Andrea Comes to Visit

Andrea and I have been friends since 7th grade. She lives in Austin, Texas so I don't get to see her very often. We all love when she comes to visit. This year she brought her Boyfriend Justin to join in our crazy weekend. Neither Andrea or Justin have kids, so we let them experience kids this weekend:) When They flew in apparently the airlines lost their whole bag of ski gear! So thankfully Andrea and I are around the same size and so are Luke and Justin. They rented some gear on Saturday until they airlines finally found their bag and had it delivered up to Schweitzer.

Friday night was the last race night for the adult friday night races. Luke did them this year with rudy and some friends. On the last night they have a big party that is a theme where they dress up. This year the theme was James Bond. I can't remember the actual names of who they dressed up as, but in the movie Austin powers they are dr. Evil and #2.

 We headed to the party for a little while, Andrea and Justin had had a long day.

 They have prizes and raffles at the party. Luke won a new pair of gloves, a hat and this Schweitzer picture.

 I don't know who this guy was dressed as, but he was hilarious.

Saturday we let Landon ski with us while josie had Super G training.

 The weather was not too terrible. It snowed most of the morning and then cleared for a few hours in the afternoon. The snow was great!

After lunch the kids switched and Josie got to ski with us and Landon went to train with his team. one of Josie's friends had my phone and took pictures of us eating:)

 We headed back to the condo to eat some dinner before heading back up for the fireworks show. They cancelled the show last weekend due to high winds. We had a lot of people in the truck so the kids piled in the canopy:)

Sunday we woke up to snow and a lot of wind.  We were not sure if they were going to close the lifts, but it was pretty scary riding the lifts with the winds as strong as they were. They cancelled the kids training due to the winds and heavy snow. Andrea Joined me in my MARS training with Rudy and some friends while Luke took Justin and went with some other friends.

 I took a video on the lift, but it doesn't do it justice on how windy it was.

The snow was really good and it snowed all day. We stopped for a bite to eat before skiing until they closed the lifts at the end of the day.

 Landon thought it was fun to ski with andrea and Justin.

We packed up and headed home to spokane. It was a quick trip for Justin and Andrea, but we all had a great time. They flew out early this morning to head home to austin.
