Seattle...Take 3

I have been to Seattle the last 3 weekends in a row....we went to the seahawks game 3 weeks ago. Then, 2 weeks ago I drove over to have a girls weekend with my friend Jen. We were roommates in Hygiene school and Roommates in Portland until we met boys and married them:) We had a great time catching up, shopping, sleeping in, and we even got to see a movie! We both started coming down with a cold while we were there so we layed pretty low. Sunday we went to Pike place market and Starbucks. Jen lives in Salem, Oregon so I only get to see her once a year!

Seattle is notorious for being grey and cloudy. It was the whole time we were there. As soon as I started climbing the pass on my way home the clouds cleared and it was blue sky. It was a really pretty drive home with all the fall colors.

Josie ended up having a sleepover with Nola and Karis. they dressed up in Halloween costumes.

Jen has 2 boys and she always gives us their hand me downs. Which we LOVE! Here is landon posing in his new Beavers hat:) Thanks to Jen, I have bought Landon very few clothes since he was born:) Thanks Jen!

This weekend, We all headed over to Seattle once again. Luke's company participated in the Puget  sound Heart Walk. We had to be downtown seattle by 7:30 am so we decided to stay in a hotel Friday night. I took a picture of the Elephant car wash on our way there.
Our hotel was very small and dumpy...but, we had a nice view out our tiny window:)
The weather was cold, but not raining....Josie and Landon look pretty excited about our walk:)...or not.

My friend Crystal, and her family came too. It was great to see everyone.

There were so many people at the start we got pushed to the back because we had a stroller and it was hard to maneuver.

We were separated from our group, but soon found crystal and her boyfriend waiting for us:) We had to walk at a 6 year old's pace and we had to stop for a potty break along the way. After all that we ended up being dead last!! We were laughing because we were behind the cop car that follows the race!

We make the whole 5K with the kids and went to lunch with everyone after. Then we took the kids to the seattle science center.

Our favorite part was the butterfly area. They have a really pretty warm area where butterfly's are every where.

One landed on Landon's Leg

We had to hit up the photo booth too.

After the science center, we were wiped out!

We stayed at a really nice hotel Saturday night. We had a free stay at the marriot downtown on the waterfront. Last year we stayed there and the Valet had lost our keys, so they had given us a free night stay. We decided to use that free night on Saturday. When we checked in the kids were given books and pillowcases.
We took the kids swimming and then went out to dinner.

This was the view from our hotel room. The sun came out for about 5 minutes:)

We had a great family weekend in seattle. I don't plan on going there for a while, Although Luke is headed there on Tuesday again for work.

This morning we woke up to a dusting of snow at our house!!

Luke was very excited because his jeep was in Crawl magazine.

They were at a competition in Boise called X-rocks when they snapped the bottom pic of Luke driving his jeep and his friend Jason guiding him through the course.
Now this week will be filled with cold weather, Halloween Party's and Trick or Treating.
