Coming out of the dark

We had 18" of snow on saturday night into sunday and with that, our power went out and stayed out for 4 days! It snowed all morning on tuesday and last night we had another 6 inches. Yesterday I couldn't go to work because our road was snowed in with drifted snow. today it is the same way. Our road was even on northwest cable news today!! Yesterday our power came back on finally. We had been using a generator to power our gas fireplace and a light. We have been showering at friends houses and eating dry cereal until our power came back on. Luke just called the county to see where a plow was, but I guess the plow is stuck somewhere!! We are about done with the snow for the season!! here are some pics

All the branches on our trees have been falling off from the weight of the snow, this is in front of our house.

Luke bought a snow blower, but the snow was too wet and heavy, so he sold it on craigs list in 40 minutes for 300 dollars more than he paid for it...they are in pretty big demand!!

This is a car buried on the south hill. I took this picture on the way to crystals house to take a shower...thank you crystal!!Here is a pic in front of our house of the powerline laying in the trees. most of the poles were actually snapped off down our road.
