Let The Summer Begin

The summer ritual of going up to my parents property at Lake Roosevelt every weekend in the summer has officially started:) We have been fishing and playing in the sand enjoying every minute of warm weather. My babysitter is on vacation for a month so josie has been spending time with my parents in Ellensburg and with some other friends who have helped me out by watching her while I work. the first week luke, josie, my mom and me were all sick, so it was a pretty rough start to the summer season. hopefully we will remain healthy for the rest of summer...here are some pics from the last couple of weeks.

Fathers day weekend Luke, josie and I hiked into hawk creek (part of lake roosevelt) and went fishing....no fish were caught that day...sampson kept trying to fetch the lures when we casted and josie was trying to rearrane the tackle box with hooks in it...not the most relaxing fishing trip:)

It is easier to go out on grandma and grandpa's boat and go fishing without sampson...here is josie helping grandpa gary reel in the line....

If josie gets crabby and it is her naptime...we just take her for a boat ride and she is usually out in about 30 seconds or less...here is luke holding josie while she was napping.

We put up the seat in the boat so josie could nap on her own...way better than having to hold her and get all sweaty....

We are hoping that luke doesn't have to work this weekend. We always go to the lake and watch the fireworks, so it would suck if he wasn't there....Josie is with grandpa and grandma this week in Ellensburg so I am a single lady this week with no kid. It feels strange to not have her here...It is hard to remember what life was like before her...definately not as exciting.
