My friend andrea came up from Austin, Tx to visit us this past weekend. It was a fun filled weekend and we were sad when she had to leave. Andrea hadn't seen Josie in over a year, so she was a completely different kid since her last visit. Friday we went to the spokane fair...the day after a mental patient/killer had escaped at the fair...we weren't scared:) Here is Andrea and Josie at the fair.

Andrea has a way nicer camera than I do. we downloaded all her pics onto my computer, but they turned out grainy...I don't think I have the right software to read it clearly?..anyway, here is a pic of us at the fair..right after Josie choked on a piece of chicken and threw up all over her dress and stroller..thank god for the gag reflex!

I tried to salvage this pic by making it black and white...it get's the point across...more fair.

Saturday we headed up to the lake to visit my parents and Mari and Harry. The weather was a little shaky. we went out on my parents boat and did some fishing..not too successful, but it was nice to hang out for the day.

We took Josie to the park ...
Sunday we headed for the Hiawatha Trail. It is an old railroad path on the border of Montana and Idaho. They pulled up all the tracks and it is now a bike trail. There are several tunnels and tressels that you ride over and through. The very first tunnel is 1.8 miles long! Pitch black, cold and wet. Josie did good for about the first mile and then started to get a little nervous. other than some tunnel scariness she did really well and liked being pulled in the burley.

A couple of dorks...pretty scenery though

It was pretty cold because of the elevation...we toughed it out though

It took us about 4 hours to ride the 15 mile trek. we stopped for lunch and did a few picture stops.
Here is one of the tressels we rode over
