Wenatchee

Friday Josie and I drove to Wenatchee which is about 3 hours NW of here. My friend Jane and her daughter Jayna moved there from Spokane last year. Jane's husband passed away from cancer last year and so Jane moved back to Wenatchee to be closer to her family. Jayna is 2 weeks older than Josie and they are great friends. Jane had a house built in East Wenatchee right on the columbia river. It has a trail right outside her back door and a pool too! The girls had a great time biking, swimming and playing. We had a back yard BBQ with a bunch of Jane's friends friday night. Josie stayed up until 11pm! that is way past bedtime, but she was having fun!

we gave up on the water wings and just stuck with noodles! josie is in swim lessons, but can't stay afloat by herself yet.

Saturday we all had manicures and Pedicures. Josie had never done this before. She picked out bright Green nail polish and kept asking the nail lady all sorts of questions. The nail lady did not speak english very well so josie kept saying 'what?, what? what did you say?' it was pretty funny.

We drove home saturday night and sunday I re stained our front porch and Luke built the front steps! he put slate tile on the stairs and all we have left is to grout them. It sure made a huge difference! Not to mention it is a lot safer than two pieces of 3 year old warped plywood:)

Next weekend is my Birthday, no real plans, just hoping the weather stays nice!!
