Last Monday we took the kids to see santa. we showed up right as he was leaving to 'feed his reindeer' which is when he takes his break. The kids ended up having to wait quite a while, but they were excited. Josie told Luke that someone at school told her that santa was not real!! So, she said that she was going to prove them wrong. When Santa asked her what she wanted, she said that she couldn't think of anything!? He told her to write it down in a letter or on a piece of paper when she thought of something.
Josie Wrote a letter to santa and asked for a 'real baby reindeer'!
I can't get this picture to turn the right way, but Luke wrote santa back...He let santa know that a reindeer would be a hardship on our family and that josie would ask for something else....so she asked for a unicorn! Landon asked Santa for a robot panther that you can ride on!?..not sure where the kids are coming up with these gifts!
We got snow last week, so Landon played with Jaxs for a few hours!
carli took this picture.
Josie's party was full of games. They have been doing 'no food' parties lately. Here is Josie and Emma.
and Josie with Brooke.
Josie has been doing gymnastics with her friend Annie...Annie stayed for a while after gymnastics and they put on a dancing show for luke and I.
Landon said , 'hey mom, Carli taught me how to spell'
Landon playing in the snow.
Friday night we had our annual christmas party for Hudson Bay at the Steam Plant Grill. This was our 3rd year. We decided to go casual and wear seahawks gear.
Saturday morning we drove to Ellensburg to visit my parents and celebrate Christmas with them. My dad is only a week out on his hip replacement surgery and doing really well. My parents and the kids made a traditional gingerbread house. My dad uses a hot glue gun to put the base of the house together, that way we don't have to wait for the frosting to dry:)
Landon playing Yahtzee with my dad.
Josie is a very good helper. She knows that my dad can't do a lot right now so she wanted to help bring in the firewood and make a fire. She also helped feed the horses and the dogs:)
We had a great dinner. Mom re created thanksgiving dinner because the one in Mexico just wasn't thanksgiving dinner:) Josie helping mom feed the horses in the snow.
Landon got a new sleeping bag:)
opening more presents.
Landon got the whole series of Jurassic park to go with his Jurassic World movie.
Josie got a monopoly game:) we played it several times.
I took the kids out to play in the snow on Sunday. Luke went to the Seahawks game. Josie made a snow angel:)
There was fresh snow for acres and acres....
I had to work today and then tomorrow is my last day until the new year. Luke's parents will be coming to visit for Christmas this year. We then will Leave for Schweitzer for a week so the kids can do the Christmas Camp for Ski Racing. They ski for 5 days and then do a race. The mountain has been getting a lot of snow and tonight it is supposed to snow 8 inches here in town, so the skiing should be pretty good!
