valentines, luke learns to ski and MARS

The kids fell asleep the other night, right next to each other...They don't often do that so I had to get it on film.
Landon had his valentines party last week. A friend sent me a couple of pictures from the party. Piper, Joe and Landon.
 Piper and Landon.
Josie didn't have a party like landon, now that she is in 5th grade they don't do parties as much. Landon brought home this from school. They celebrated 101 days of school last week. He wrote, when he is 101 he will 'play with my grandson'.
There are a bunch of Ski racing moms who I have become friends with. Last year our friend Rudy, who is a really good skier joked about starting his own race team of moms and coaching them. We had a few lessons but never really did much about it. This year we made it happen. The kids race team is called, SARS so we are MARS....We meet and get lesson's from Rudy. It's a way better deal than buying lessons on the mountain and he has been teaching us a lot.
We even had some classy t- shirts made:)

Our coach even lets us stop for drinks:)
Sunday was very cold and really windy. We still headed out even though there was only 1 lift out of 9 running due to high winds. This was the report sunday morning! There was supposed to be a fireworks show to celebrate presidents weekend, but they cancelled it due to the cold and wind.
Luke has always been a snowboarder but recently decided he was going to learn how to ski. The lift line was insane on sunday, so Luke practiced skiing on the bunny hill. He made it to the 'big hill' and did really well. The kids thought it was pretty cool to give dad some lessons.
Sunday night we went into sandpoint for dinner.

we skied monday but it was so cold I didn't want to take my phone out of my pocket to take any pictures!
