The kids officially had their last day of school....so I took the traditional last day of school pics where they wear the same thing they wore on the first day of school...
We were trying to get the bark laid down around the grass. The weather did not cooperate, but we got it done.
Our friend Denny came over to dig our trench. We had to dig a trench from our new well to the house..It was really muddy.
We then had to wait for the mud to dry out before the well pump guy could come and install the electrical and the pressure tank in our house. Later, we found out that you can't cover the ditch until the electrical inspection is done..which due to covid...was backed up and delayed. So we were hoping to fill in the hole and list our house, but we had to push it back until the inspection was done.
On the 18th, Luke's parents drove up from Portland and stayed with us before we left for Luke's cousins wedding in Montana. Luke dropped the dogs off at the doggy daycare....They post pictures of your pets while they stay there....Joey had a blast....Not too sure about walter:)
We headed East on Thursday to a Ranch just south of Alder Montana. The mountains were really pretty.
The ranch was 12 miles down a dirt road...
Landon was really excited to see his cousin Smith. Smith has grown considerably since we last saw him a year and a half ago! Smith is 14.
The ranch had a fishing pond stocked with trout so that you can practice fly fishing.

One of the ranch workers told us that there was a book at the top of this peak that overlooked the ranch. He said that if we hiked up there we should sign the book. After handing out bear spray to all of us, we headed out.
Landon and Smith joined us, but after hiking for about 45 minutes and realizing it was straight up...they turned around and left to go fishing.

Meanwhile...Luke's mom created a fishing tournament for the kids.
Landon had never met his cousin Grace. She is about 5 months younger than Landon.

Saturday we drove to a town called Virginia City. It is an old western town. We did a little shopping and I stumbled upon this great shirt for Uncle Bob. Bob has a bear room at home where it is all things bear. We couldn't pass it up!

That night was the wedding. Uncle Scott helped Landon tie his tie.
The ceremony was great...short and sweet.
So was the dessert!
Landon, Smith, and Eli...Eli's grandparents own the ranch so he lives there. He hung out with our family quite a bit!

The reception was a blast. Landon and Josie both got their groove on. Landon said he could have danced all night:) At one point, Landon had a circle of people around him and he jumped up and then into the splits!
I took a break in dancing to get some cool air and caught the sunset.
When I came back in, Zac was wearing Landon's tie around his head.
We had the best time in Montana with the family. We are so happy to have Hali join our family...she's pretty great.
We packed up and headed home Sunday. The weather last week was really nice so I took the kids to the lake to try out their new inflatable kayaks that Tom and Carol had bought them.
We ran into some friends at the marina and hung out with them for the rest of the day.
Tuesday I took the boat out with the kids and some friends.

Wednesday I took the boat out again and Carli, Lila and Jaxs came with us.
Thursday we had to get some stuff done around here. They were crop dusting the fields and the plane was right over our house.
Friday we finally had the inspection on the well done and can put our house for sale. A professional photographer came and took drone pictures and pics of the inside of the house. We plan on listing monday! for real this time! Saturday Luke and Landon went mountain biking.
Me, my friend Crystal, Josie and her friend Isabel had a girls day and went boating.
After boating we had dinner at the marina.
Hopefully tomorrow our house will go on the market and then the game of keeping our house as clean as possible begins!
I finally got a 'tele doc' appointment with the rheumatologist about my hand. To meet in person I would have had to wait until september, but you can meet over the phone and get things started as soon as the end of July. So, I have an appointment at the end of July to talk to the dr via facetime! hoping for some answers as my hand is still swelling and painful.
