5 Years...

Luke and I have now been married for 5 whole years...I thought it would be fun to reminise about our wedding...here it is in a VERY short story....we went to Maui with 28 friends and family... The plan...get married on the beach at sunset....nothing goes according to plan. Here we are pre marriage in maui....The night before our wedding they had the biggest storm in over 20 years hit the island..this was the newspaper the day we got married.Mud slides, rain, power outages...We were supposed to go to an outdoor luau that night....until they cancelled it due to the storm. We found a luau indoors and all had to run in the rain to get there...it was actually pretty fun.Once we all arrived at the luau, most of us were drenched...here we are in the lobby of the hotel...wind blowing and rain pouring:) At the last minute we found a wedding chappel that let us have our wedding in it. It ended up being a really cute place and we all had an impromptu ceremony. due to the storm, we never had a rehearsal...so we all just winged it. My dad walked me down the isle and then was so nervous, he ended up standing with the grooms men for the whole thing:)...here is the wedding party.. After we were married, we all went and had a nice dinner. on the way, it started pouring rain again..out of nowhere, my dad pulled out a bunch of colorful poncho's...so we were all dry and quite stylish on the way to dinner:)

We all had a great time even though the weather sucked. The day after our wedding, some guy drove his car into the maui airport...not sure why...anyway it shut down the entire airport so no one could leave. Luke's parents were supposed to leave that day. So long story short...they ended up staying the night with us on our honeymoon. Just for one night:) here was the newspaper that day:)...note the flaming car:)...We have a lot of funny and interesting stories from our wedding. So, for our 5th anniversary...we went all out!...ha ha..not really. I was still pretty sick. So, instead of trying to enjoy an expensive meal that I couldn't taste...we did some fine dining at ZIPS...it is just a local burger joint here, but always tasty:)..then we went to a movie and saw slumdog millionaire...very good flick:) Luke's parents were here and took care of josie while we had a hot date. Here we are 5 years later...Can you tell we got all dressed up for our anniversary?..ha ha..Here is josie and G ma Carol...

G-pa Tom also learned that 'Hop On Pop' is 50 pages long:)...josie's favorite book! Well, that sum's up our wedding and our anniversary...Im hoping this week is better than the last. We are finally starting to feel better:)
