Saturday we went to a rock crawling event with luke. He drove his jeep around and over a bunch of obstacles and then they judge you he ended up taking 2nd place. It was very hot and very dirty....Here is walter laying in the shade.

Josie also got dirty....her head was all sweaty and full of mud.

Here is a picture of poor landon after he got stung. we put some aspirin on it and gave him a Popsicle.
Josie was very excited to ride again. This time the competition was pretty stiff. One kid showed up wearing chaps and was stretching behind the chutes before his ride. One kid had to be pulled off of the sheep because he never fell off and wouldn't let go! Josie rode her heart out but just didn't stay on as long as some other kids. She was pretty upset because she didn't win. It was a good life lesson for her to learn that you don't always win.
After her ride she wanted to get a cowboy hat.....so I gave in and bought her the pretty pink one that she wanted.
Josie said she is all done with mutton bustin'...now I guess we will see if landon wants to next year:)
