catch up

The last few weeks have been busy, but I have been poor with picture taking so I don't have a whole lot of pictures to show with my post. 

 Valentines day weekend we flew to Brookings, Oregon for Luke's Grandpa's funeral. It was a nice memorial and the whole family was together for the first time in probably 5 years. The only people missing were our kids:) we left them with our friends Rudy and Carli. It was a quick trip but was good to see everyone. Josie had her valentines day party at school. One of the mom's sent me this picture of Josie at the party.

 

We had missed Josie's first basketball game when we were away so this weekend we got to see her play. She had never made a basket in the whole 2 weeks of her life that she has been playing basketball. During warm ups she was so proud because she made 2 baskets! Then, during the game she made a basket and the whole crown cheered:) Josie is learning to be a little more aggressive and gaining more confidence. It's so nice to see her start to come out of her shell. she is usually pretty timid. Josie is the green 5.

 Saturday I was able to go to the movies with carli and saw the secret life of walter mitty. It was a great movie and a nice little girl getaway:) Yesterday we went up to the mountain for the first time in a couple of weeks. It snowed all day and the skiing was great. It was quite the drive home with the snow, dodging jackknifed semi trucks and trying not to go in the ditch was pretty interesting. Josie had a late start at school today and it snowed all day today. winter just kind of hit all of a sudden. Here is the only picture I took yesterday after skiing....Landon always sacks out after a day at 'the mountain'.

Not too much else going on, that has been our last few weekends. Luke and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary on friday......holy cow!!
