Josie has started Lacrosse. She really likes it. I haven't taken any photo's of her yet, but a friend sent me this picture of her team all huddled up.
Her coach gave her this note last week:)
The kids had a 'dress up like a camper' day at school and if you dressed up, you got your name in a raffle. Well randomly, Landon and Josie's name's were both picked out of the whole elementary school who participated! They each won a book and had their picture taken in the library.
This weekend we did a bunch of random things. It was nice to be home and not have a schedule of having to get somewhere. Saturday night we dyed easter eggs.
Josie doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny anymore, but she played along for her brother's sake. They told me they didn't want to go to an easter egg hunt because there are too many kids, and it's not that much fun. So I filled eggs myself and hid them all around the yard. Landon was up bright and early! It was like christmas morning for him. 6:05 and we were awake!
It was sunny, but freezing cold for our easter egg hunt.
After the hunt we packed up and went for a hike. We headed for Fish Trap. It is about 30 minutes west of spokane. A friend had told me about the hike last year so I thought we would go check it out. Due to all the rain we have had, a lot of the trail was flooded. It was supposed to be 5.4 miles round trip, but we took a detour and never made it to the actual destination..which is called hog lake. I think we hiked around 5 miles though. It was still good to be outside and Josie even ran up on a herd of deer which was pretty cool.
Walter had a good time too.My goofball.
We sold our travel trailer because we were going to get a toy hauler to put the razor it. But, then we went shopping for toy haulers and didn't want to pay that much for something we wouldn't use too often. So, this is our new 'trailer'...it's got a fireplace inside and I think will actually be quite cozy. At least that's what I keep telling myself!
My parents arrive today with Their new Toyhauler. Hopefully they can make the turn into our driveway with it! They will be here for a week and then they get to go to Mexico. When they get back they will take their 'home' up to the lake for the summer:) Can't wait for Summer!
