Ski racing finals...

Landon and his buddies got out of practice early last week so they all went free skiing together.
Wyatt, Landon, Mason and Rhys.
Josie has started playing basketball through the school. She is on the JV team and seems to be having fun.

Landon played hookey from school last wednesday and went skiing at mt. Spokane with his friend Eli from school.

Friday the kids didn't have school so I took them into my office to clean their teeth. Landon had his first cavity! It is on a baby tooth, but still a cavity. I got him numb and then Dr. placed a filling on his tooth. He did great...except on the way home he bit his cheek where he was numb and started bleeding all over.
Friday afternoon we left for Wallace Idaho. We go every year for the ski racing finals. Josie doesn't compete in this event, just Landon. We rented a VRBO with our friends Rudy and Carli. Saturday we got up early and had to be to the lodge by 6:30 am. Josie skied with me and Carli.

Landon and his friend Wyatt.
 Josie and Lila.
 Landon placed 2nd on Saturday.
Sunday we had to wake up at 5am...although it was daylight savings so we really got up at 4. We got to the lodge early again and waited for the race to start.
Me, Carli, Melissa and Nicole got to do some skiing while waiting for the race to start.

Josie and her friend Scarlett slipped the race course to help keep it smooth.
Landon started down the race course and one of the course crew (not his sister) got in his way. He had to slow down to avoid hitting the course crew.
He ended up still placing 3rd  that day so it turned out to not be a huge deal.
Landon's second GS run

Landon ended up winning the Season overall points. So over the course of 6 races, he placed the best out of all of them. His friend Wyatt placed 2nd and Rhys placed 3rd. It was pretty cool that both his friends got to share the podium with him.
 Landon, Rhys and Wyatt.
My friend had taken this photo of Landon with Edison and Mason..waiting at the top of the course.
Our mountian won the trophy for overall points for the season. It's tradition for the whole team to run to the top of the hill and have their picture taken with the trophy.
Then all the kids come sliding down the hill....
We got home late Sunday night. We were all exhausted from a fun weekend.
