1st day of Kindergarten and Sunriver

 This was our 2nd Annual Buoy family get together in Sunriver, Oregon. Luke's brother and family live in the San Francisco area and Luke's parents live in Portland, so it is somewhat of a middle ground for us to drive to.  We made it a point to try for some family pictures. Overall I think they turned out pretty good. Trying to get 6 adults, an almost 2 year old, an almost 4 year old, a 5 year old and an almost 7 year old to pose and smile at the camera all at the same time was tough!

 One day we all went for a bike ride..Here is Luke's brother Scott and his wife, Lisa.

 We rode for quite a while. This is the Deshutes River. After we rode bikes we rented rafts and floated the river....It was a really nice day.

 Josie and Smith stayed back when we went bike riding and played with Carol and Tom. They were making a card house with grandpa Tom.

 The girls got matching hello kitty dresses and Pez candy....I think both their mouths were both full of Pez in this picture.

 We had a great time in Sunriver. ...On to Kindergarten...Josie had her first day on wednesday. She didn't seem overly excited, for her it was just 'another day'. She really wants to ride the school bus but when the bus drops them off at school, she has to walk quite a ways through a busy playground of middle schoolers to get to her classroom door. She was not confident she could do that without me, and Im not either. I think I will take her myself for the first few weeks and let her ride the bus home.

She had to have a Hello Kitty backpack....Duh mom!?...Josie's teacher grew up and went to school K-12 at Freeman. She has been a teacher there for 17 years. The school has a great reputation in the community for being really good. It is a smaller farm school with about 50 kids per grade. The bus driver even called me at home to let me know what time he stops by the house. Josie has some of the same kids in her kindergarten as she did in preschool so she was excited to see them...especially ELI...He is a cute little kid that josie has a small crush on:) The teacher's name is mrs. Jensen and she put all the kids together for a class picture before the kids said goodbye to the parents. Josie could have cared less that I was leaving, which made it easier for me to leave.

And finally...Landon got his passport in the mail so we can go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in November.
