Summer break has started.

Last Monday, Josie had her last golf lesson of the spring. She was hesitant to go, but agreed to give it a try. She wanted me to stay by her side most of the time. The coaches and kids were very surprised to see her. Her coach, coach ruth was not there, nor was the little girl who hit the ball into Josie's face. The kids and coaches had signed a card for Josie....

She made it through the whole lesson without getting hit by a golf ball, so I guess it was a success. Tuesday was Josie's last day of 3rd grade. Landon's was last friday. I always take a picture of the kids in the same outfit on the first and last day. Landon's shoes were a bit tight, but he squeezed into them for the photo.

 The girls at work took me out to lunch for my birthday on Tuesday. We indulged in some chocolate chip cookie and ice cream dessert. They also decorated my operatory at work.

we had some cool storms roll through last week.

Luke and I have been talking about getting a side by side razor for a while, but never seriously. Not sure why...but we just decided to get one. A lot of our friends have them and go on rides all the time. where we live, we can drive the razor to friends houses because it is all dirt roads. The kids were beyond excited!

Friday night we went to the st. john boat races. we go every year. Usually it is hot, but this year it was pouring rain! It didn't start raining until the afternoon of the races. We camped with our friends Kim, Jared, and their 3 kids. Friday night you can see all the boats up close, meet the drivers and the kids usually get a signed poster from the 'seahawk' boat, as landon calls it.

 Josie, Janie, and Annie made a tent with the umbrellas.

 Thank goodness Kim and Jared brought garbage bags.

 There was a cool rain storm cloud that was over the campground.

Sunday we came home and went for a razor ride with some friends around where we live. Later that night we had a bunch of people over for a bonfire and BBQ. Thursday night we leave for our annual trip to sunriver to visit Luke's side of the family.
