Landon's Birthday Weekend

Friday Luke's parents came up from Portland to spend the weekend with us. Friday was the Harvest Hoe Down at the school. We go every year. Each classroom has a game and you can dress up in your Halloween costume, or like a cowboy. Josie and Her friend Isabel found each other.
 Doughnut eating on a string...always a favorite.
 Landon found his friend Miles...
They have a photo booth...Josie and Isabel found it:)

Saturday we woke up early and headed out for a Razor ride. When I asked Landon what he wanted to do for his birthday he said 'a razor ride'...'with josh'. Josh is Landon's hero. He loves him. Josh is who took Landon surfing for the first time and every time we go on a ride he has to ride with Josh, or ride in Josh's razor, not ours:) Tom and Carol have a ranger that they towed all the way from Portland to join in the fun. We started with a pretty big group, but most of our group had soccer, football, or school events and couldn't make it...But Josh could, and that was what was important:)
Tom and Carol bought Landon a new dirt bike helmet for his b day and gave it to him early so he could wear it on the ride.
We went to McCroskey park in Idaho. It is about an hour south of here.

It was pretty cold, but it didn't rain!
 Group photo
Josh and Holly got landon a cool truck:)
we found a Pavilion where we were able to bbq and have a b day celebration.

Landon rode with Josh for most of the trip, but then decided to ride with tom and carol on the way back.

Landon passed out on the way home..and as we drove away it started raining.
We came home and Carol had brought donuts to decorate. so the kids helped decorate them.

Saturday night Luke and I got dressed up and went to a friends Halloween party...I was a cop and Luke was a convict.
 Carli was a skeleton
this guy from KISS was there too:)

Sunday was Landon's 6th Birthday. He was so excited to open all his presents.

Carol bought an Ice Cream Cake to celebrate.

I still can't believe Landon is 6. Time flies so quickly. Sunday afternoon Carol took Josie shopping and let her pick out some new school clothes because she wasn't able to do it this summer. Josie thought that was pretty cool. Monday morning Tom and Carol left for home. I headed to the school for Josie and Landon's Halloween parties. Every year the elementary school kids get dressed up and do a parade around the school. this one was a little blurry, but Josie was a rockstar.
Her friend Molly was a T-rex.
Landon was a ninja turtle...same outfit from 2 years ago...but a new mask.
 Josie's class...

 They had a Twister tournament....
Landon's party was after Josie's, which was nice. I was able to go to both.
They made toilet paper roll pumpkins.
this is Ali, she played T ball with landon in the spring. Here mom made her wings that were huge!

Landon has a new girlfriend, Marli...

Josie and Emma..
After the parties I took Josie to her final dental appointment. They made a tooth colored crown for her front tooth. She was there for 2 hours and did great. Meanwhile...spending 2 hours in the lobby with Landon was fun:)

Josie emerged with a new tooth. she was pretty excited about it. I am a perfectionist and still get a pit in my stomach when I think about this whole situation. Josie came home tonight from a friends house and the bottom tooth is now chipped out where they did a filling last time....This will be something she will have to deal with forever...I know it's just teeth, but when it's your kid, it really sucks.

Monday night we headed out into the rain to do some trick or treating....We went to a different neighborhood than we normally go to. Josie's friend Isabel invited us to go with their family. On the way there we watched a lady hit a deer with her car right in front of us.. She was ok, but her car was beat up pretty bad. The deer ran off, but I don't think it made it...Landon wanted to be Batman for Halloween so he wore his new Batman masked sweatshirt that my parents got him with his batman cape. It worked well because he was able to wear his black ski pants and black boots. Isabel was a roller girl.
Brynlee is Isabel's little sister, Landon was happy that she was there too:)

Most of the houses were decorated pretty cool. there was an old travel trailer with a couple of creepy guys hiding in and around it and chasing kids...It was pretty scary...Landon was not too impressed...Both kids came home with ton's of candy...

It was a busy and fun weekend...Now to get josie's tooth fixed...again....Poor thing. Tonight we had parent/teacher Conferences. Josie and Landon are both doing great and got good reviews from their teachers!
