The blonde is piper, landon's girlfriend from preschool. The brunette is Marley, his current girlfriend:)
Monday night was Josie's recorder concert. It was quite the concert:)
Josie and Landon with Emily. Emily is in Josie's class.
Here is a small video sample of the concert
Landon was supposed to have his christmas concert on Tuesday. We woke up Tuesday morning to school being cancelled. The kids were actually disappointed that there was no school. We have had a lot of snow this winter. Luke has been having fun plowing.
This year we decided to not give gifts to each other, instead we went shopping and delivered gifts to the Children's Hospital. There was a wish list that the hospital had online, so we looked up what was needed and delivered it.
Santa and mrs. clause were there too.
That afternoon Josie went to a friends house and Landon invited over his friend Miles to go sledding. We had fun sledding in the backyard.
Landon ended up staying the night with miles and then having to come home early because miles was puking. We crossed our fingers the bug didn't infect Landon!
Friday afternoon I left for Seattle to visit Mari. She was in the Hospital for a few days so I drove over to see her. My friend Andrea was in seattle visiting family, so I was able to see her too.
I got home on Christmas Eve evening. Luke and Josie made dinner. We had prime rib, mashed potatoes, carrots and rolls.
Josie likes to make mashed potatoes.
Landon wanted Cheerios for dinner...
And Josie's meal was mashed potatoes.
Landon and Josie wrote a letter to santa
Cookies, milk and carrots...
Landon got a pokemon box of stuff and Josie got a kindle fire. This picture proves that they love each other:)
even though we didn't exchange gifts, Luke's parents sent a ton of gifts for the kids to open.
this was from Josie
Landon had wrapped a bunch of his own toys and then gave them to us for presents:)
Luke's Parents bought us a go pro!
what our living room looked like after Christmas!
It snowed on Christmas day so we went sledding in the back yard with Rudy and Carli.
Landon walked across the field carrying a present for Jaxs.
We exchanged gifts.
the day after Christmas we headed up to Schweitzer for a week of ski camp. We took a few runs on monday afternoon and then headed in for a drink and back to the condo.
Tuesday morning was cold, snowy and windy. Day 1 of 5 of ski racing camp.
Day one was a sucess and Landon was placed in the group that ski's the fastest!
This is the view at night of the ski resort from our condo.
We are now able to ski with our adult friends because all our kids are skiing with their teams. Me, Kim and Jared.
The kids come in for lunch everyday. Josie has been excited to have annie on her team this year.
Josie and Lila.
We found a way to ski in and out of our condo. The trail takes you to the bunny hill and then up to the main resort. The kids love taking the trail more than the shuttle. Here is a picture of luke and josie on the chairlift.
Me and Landon...
Kim, me and Sunny
Our condo has a sauna, so the kids and I love to go in it after skiing...Landon didn't understand what a sauna was and insisted on wearing his new fleece pj's into it....He didn't last long:)
Kim and I took a few runs with josie and annie's team one day.
Carli and I.
This is the inside of our condo. It is small, but works for us just fine.
They built a new lodge at the top of the mountain. It's nice, but a cheeseburger is 16 bucks! Luke, Rudy, me and our friend Jeff stopped for a drink one day. This is the bar.
When it isn't foggy the view is really nice.
You can tell that we are a cold family...at least Josie and I. Here is our charging station at the condo...My heated boots and heated coat along with Josie's heated socks:) then we put hand warmers in our gloves:)
Josie's Heated socks.
Landon was dying to wear josie's old race suit. He even wanted to sleep in it.
The only mishap that we had was that Landon had a small accident during his ski team training. He told one of the coaches...' I thought I could hold my pee, but, I couldn't'. He wasn't too upset about it and it happened late in the day so he didn't miss much. Saturday was the big day. All the kids participate in a race. Landon was very excited and said that he was going to wear just his race suit for the race. The weather was cold, windy and foggy. Landon decided at the last minute to wear his race number over his coat instead of just his race suit.
Landon is known as one of the 'fast little kids' so we were expecting him to go fast through the course, well, he did, but too fast and fell right after the first gate! They do 2 runs so he had a second chance....but then he fell again in the exact same spot!! Oh well, he ended up getting what we call DFL, Dead f'ing last....but he didn't seem to care. At the home series races you get a medal just for being there so he still got a medal:) Here is the video of his run. I put the phone down halfway through the video but then end up filming the end of his run. Poor kid.
I tried to take a screen shot of the video's of the kids skiing...
There are over 100 racers in the Schweitzer ski club, they all pile together outside for awards.
Janie and Landon went on a little ski date while we were waiting for awards so we sent the big sisters to go find them:)
Schweitzer had posted this photo and right in the middle where the blue coats are were Josie and
annie:)
The kids had a blast, we were bummed that landon fell, but he still had fun. One little girl fell in the same place that landon did and her mom had to ski down with her. Another little girl was puking in the lodge after the race, so I was pretty proud of Landon:) We collected awards and skied back to the condo. Our friends invited us over for a new years eve party. they have a house right down the road from where we are staying.
this is my friend Julie. We met because our kids ski race together.
Everytime we are together people ask us if we are sisters or related. I even got mistaken for her by a random person last night:)
I think we were in bed by 10, But it was a long fun filled day, I think we lived the heck out of the last week of 2016. Here are a few random pics from the week.
Landon and Janie.
Landon after getting snow in his face:)
We woke up this morning to almost a foot of new snow at the mountain. Luke's truck had been in the parking lot since monday so he had a hard time opening the door of his truck because the snow was so deep. The drive home was pretty rough due to snow and blowing snow. We made it home and luke plowed our driveway. We all have tomorrow off and the kids go back to school on Wednesday.
Friday night races start this Friday and Landon decided he wants to do them too. They are just for fun but josie loved them last year so she really wanted to do it again this year. Happy New Year.
