My parents met us and got to watch Landon practice.
He is getting better with his new bike and learning how to do the jumps better.
Sunday we took my parents up to Schweitzer to see our new condo and show them where we play all winter. It was the grand opening of summer there and they were giving free lift rides to the top. It was also about 90 degrees on the top of the mountain. This is what it looks like from our condo.
this is our condo:)
The village was full of activities and people. The kids wanted to do the blow up ball in the water activity.
Riding up the lift.
We made it to the top and stopped for a snack.
we even found some left over snow.
After seeing the lift line to ride the lift back down the hill, we thought it would be a good idea to walk down the hill. We usually ski down it and it takes maybe 5 minutes to get from the top to the bottom, if that. So we figured we would just walk down an easy run and make it down pretty quickly. Well, we found out that when the snow is melted there are rocks, creeks, and no straight way down. There are mountain bike trails that zig zag down the runs, but there were a lot of mountain bikers on the trails, so it wasn't safe to walk down them. Turns out we walked over 4 miles to get down and it took us over an hour and a half! The views were pretty though.
We made it back to the village and had some food played some checkers, rested up and headed home.
Yesterday Landon had a baseball game but shortly after Luke drove him and his two friends to the game a big storm hit and the game was cancelled. The sky was really pretty after the storm passed.
