This weekend Luke's brother and our nephew Smith flew up from San Francisco. Luke's Dad turned 70 this summer so Luke and his brother thought it would be fun to take him on a guided fishing trip. Scott brought Smith with him so he could ride dirt bikes with Landon and hang out with his cousins. The kids were super excited to see their cousin and wanted to stay up thursday night to wait for their plane to land at 9:30pm. Well, it was delayed by a long time so they didn't end up getting to our house intil 1 in the morning! Landon stayed home from school to hang out with Smith. Josie had some school stuff to do, so she went to school on friday. The weather was cold and windy. The motocycle track was really muddy and too dangerous to ride. Landon was pretty disappointed. They rode a little around the driveway and the side yard, but not as much as they had hoped for.
Luke and his brother left on friday afternoon to meet their dad in Richland for their fishing trip. The kids talked me into going to Buffalo wild wings for dinner. they all got tablets with dinner and were perfectly content for almost 2 hours:)
Saturday morning Josie had her last volleyball game. It was her favorite sport so far, besides skiing. She said she can't wait to play again next year.
Smith and Landon made some friends and played football in the gym while Josie played. Smith was kind enough to come watch one of Josie's 4 games:)
Landon's friend Janie:)
Smith and Landon playing football...
After the game we went searching for Halloween outfits for the kids. They had fun trying on masks and playing around.
We ended up getting outfits at value villiage for half the price they were at the halloween store. Landon chose to be spiderman and Josie will be a devil. I drug the kids to target and the grocery store and we headed home. The weather was freezing cold, and the track was still super muddy, so I took the kids for a razor ride. Smith thought that was pretty cool.
Josie is really into baking...She roped Smith into making cookies with her.
Landon was very excited about frosting his cookie:)
We then played games all afternoon because the rain came back.
Landon put his spiderman outfit on as soon as we got home and Im pretty sure he hasn't taken it off except for our one trip to town today.
The boys got 1 photo...as requested by me. Apparently it Poured rain and was windy all day, the boat was uncovered and the fish were not great. They had a few on the line but they got loose. So Tom and Luke were the only ones that brought a fish it. They were cold, wet and Tired when they got back and they all fell asleep around 8pm. They had a fun time hanging out together, they rarely get to do that so at least they had that.
Tom and Carol had made a trip to the Nike store and we all got new shoes! Thanks Tom and Carol!
The kids decorated their pumpkins last night...Landon had a mummy pumpkin kit.
Josie made hers a mummy cat.
we woke up this morning to a huge lake in the track from all the rain we had last night. Poor Smith never did get to ride the track. He said he will come back when the weather is better.
The kids were sad to see them go. We will see them again next June when we meet in Sunriver.
One of the grandma's on Josie's team always takes pictures. She did it in basketball and soccer. We always love getting her pics at the end of the season, she labels them with the game and dates. Josie was awarded most improved server of her 5th grade team:)
